The Result of 2007 China. Guangxi City College International Cartoon Contest |

In May of 2007, the Committee of China Guangxi City College International Cartoon Contest spreaded news to collect works from all over the world., including many cartoon art websites, newspaper and the related press media, such as free cartoon association, yahoo.com and China cartoon.com. It lasted for 4 months, and the deadline was on 28 August, 2007. We have received more than 8000 works sent by letter or email from 42 countries all over the world. The theme of most works is environmental protection. The creative approaches of the works are very various and the themes are very innovative. According to the Committee’s initial evaluation and selection, 250 outstanding works have been selected into our contest. We have sent these works to the judges. To the quality of the works, the judge made a high evaluation. For example, Xia Dachuan,the judge from China, said that “first of all, I hope that the contest must be a successful one, and judging from the quality of the works, they rank the first class in the international cartoon contest, especially for the Sophisticated mapping and various techniques, ect. It is difficult for us to choose the outstanding works out of so many excellent ones, but we must do it. The Committee finally
evaluates Gold Prize of 1(Askin Ayrancioglu from Turkey), Silver
Prize of 2( Muhittin Koroglu from Turkey and Mohammad Amin from
Iran), Bronze Prize of 4 (Jinhui from China, Nizar Fadel Outhman
from Syria, Li Runtang from China and Makhmudjon Eshonkulov from
Uzbekistan),Online Common Sense Best Award of 1(Musa GuMu from
Turkey),and Award of Merit of 20,coming from countries such as
China, Iran, Bulgaria, Russia, South Korea and Indonesia.
