Mr.Presedent " Bashar Alassad " recieved the Syrian Arab cartoonist
" Raed Khalil " last Monday 20 / 6 / 2006 at Alrawda palace and they
went through an open discussion about the cartoon art and mechanism
of its developing and increasing awareness of the cartoon culture
...
Mr.Presedent and " Raed Khalil " also talked about events of the
second international cartoon contest " Syria Cartoon Contest 2006 "
which was hosted at the end of May 2006 ........
Raed Khalil _after the meeting_ expressed his happiness to be
welcomed by Mr.Presedent " Alassad " saying that the friendly
meeting with the presedent was engulfed with respect and
understanding and that's the right spirit which we _as artists_ have
got used to when meeting Mr.Presedent " Alassad " ...
Khalil also said that the dialogue went over importance of the
cartoon art in transmitting the humanitarian and civilized message
of Syria, and about the moral dimension of art in general ...
Mr.Presedent " Alassad " _ on these grounds_ assured supporting the
" Syria Cartoon
Contest " international exhibition which used to be held
in Damascus every year and mechanism of its continueing as another
attractive agent for tourism and cultural progress in Syria , and he
assured ( Mr.Presedent ) supporting every cultural work that high
lights the Syrian Arab national identity and helps our friendly
connections and contacts with the world ....
استقبل السيد الرئيس بشار الأسد رئيس الجمهورية العربية السورية في قصر
الروضة صباح يوم الأثنين الواقع في 20 حزيران 2006 رسام الكاريكاتور
رائد خليل. وتم خلال اللقاء تناول فن الكاريكاتور وآلية تطويره وتعميق
وعي ثقافة هذا الفن.
كما جرى الحديث عن فعاليات المعرض الدولي الثاني لفن الكاريكاتور الذي
أقيم في الشهر الخامس من العام الجاري.
وإثر اللقاء عبر الزميل رائد خليل عن سعادته باستقبال السيد الرئيس له
قائلاً: إن اللقاء كان مفعماً بالود وهذا ما تعودناه كفنانين ومثقفين
من سيادته.
وقال خليل: إن الحديث تناول أهمية الكاريكاتور في تأكيد رسالة سورية
الحضارية والإنسانية والبعد الأخلاقي والإنساني للفن عموماً.
وقد أكد السيد الرئيس بشار الأسد في هذا الإطار على دعم المعرض
الدولي للكاريكاتير الذي يقام سنوياً في دمشق وآلية استمراره بما يعزز
الجذب السياحي والثقافي لسورية. كما أكد على دعم كل عمل ثقافي يبرز
الهوية الوطنية ويؤكد على الصلات القومية وعلى تواصلنا مع العالم.
